Welcome to my Blog | Reclaiming my Path
Hi, I’m Meredith.
Over the 14 years I’ve been working as a licensed esthetician, I’ve discovered that skincare is so much more than just products and treatments, it was about how I made people feel. Through communication, touch, and genuine care, I’ve been able to nourish not only skin but also the soul. I've received so much gratitude from clients in so many forms, and over time, I became a meaningful part of their lives as they made the commitment to see me regularly.
What I’m Sharing Here
This blog is a place where I’ll be sharing all the things that have reignited my connection with myself, things like self-care routines, skincare tips, and personal stories of growth and healing. I’ll also be talking about how the mind-body-skin connection plays a role in the work I do, along with how to bring nourishment to both your skin and soul.
The journey of coming back to myself has taught me that true beauty is not just on the outside, it’s an inside job. I want to share with you the practices, tools, and insights that have helped me rediscover my authenticity, and my hope is that they’ll support you in doing the same. Whether you're looking for inspiration to take care of your skin or seeking guidance on reconnecting with your intuition, you’ll find a little bit of everything here.
Reconnecting With Myself
For a long time, I felt disconnected from the intuitive side of myself that once guided me. I was caught in the cycle of doing what was expected of me, pushing my boundaries, and not giving myself the space to listen to what I really needed. This left me feeling drained and at times, like I was going through the motions.
The turning point came when I realized I could still be an esthetician but in a way that felt true to me. I didn’t have to stop trusting my intuition or not expressing my creative side. I started showing up with more presence and intention, and everything started to shift from there.
Remembering What Lit Me Up
Meditation, intuitive development, reading oracle cards, and surrounding myself with crystals were all things that once brought me a sense of peace and joy. I had discovered these passions around the same time I started my career as an esthetician. But over time, I pushed them aside, telling myself I needed to focus on what was more “realistic” or “responsible” to build a successful life. I started creating and working from a place of pressure and fear, rather than from inspiration and love.
On the outside, it looked like I had everything together, but inside, I felt disconnected and unfulfilled. I eventually realized I had built a life based on expectations of others and the ego mind, which was not from the truth of my soul.
A Spiritual Awakening and a New Path
Eventually, I started returning to what made me feel whole, like slow walks in nature, journaling, art, and creating healthier habits for myself. I took small steps to nourish myself again. Then, one day, I experienced what you might call a spiritual awakening. It was like a veil had lifted. I saw how I had been living in a world that wasn’t really mine. Almost everything I had created was from a place of fear and materialism, and that’s why it never truly felt like it was aligned.
I began carving a new path and this time from my heart.
I wanted to live from a place of ease and abundance, where what I needed would come to me naturally, magnetized by authenticity and love. I had glimpses of this before, but I needed to have the contrast of the opposite to truly understand what I needed to do, and getting there required real inner work. I had to look at where I was, feel it fully, and begin to address the patterns, childhood wounds and limiting beliefs that had quietly influenced me for years. I had to break the cycles I was in and that’s what started to set me free.
Creating a Life That Reflects My Soul
I couldn’t look at my life through the same lens anymore. So much felt misaligned, my work environment, certain relationships, even how I related to myself. I ended up walking away from it all: my home, my marriage, and some friendships and clients who had once been a big part of my life. Not everyone was going to come with me on the path I needed to take, and I had to learn to accept that.
Letting go created space for something more aligned to come in. I began connecting with people and communities where I felt safe, supported, and seen. I stopped trying to fit into expectations and started living in a way that felt true to who I am.
Over time, some of the people I had drifted from even came back into my life, but this time with more clarity, mutual respect, and authenticity.
From this place, I began creating a business that reflects all the parts of me. A space where skincare and holistic healing can come together and where I can support others taking care of themselves.
Still Becoming
I'm still learning, still exploring, still becoming. But I feel more fulfilled now than ever, and I hope that by sharing pieces of my story, I can inspire others to remember what they love and what’s important to them, so they can create from that space too.
Thank you for being here and taking the time to read a piece of my journey. Whether you’re a long-time client, a new visitor, or simply someone curious about healing and skincare, I’m grateful to connect with you.
I hope this space inspires you to care for both your skin and your soul, and to remember that it’s never too late to reconnect with your true self.
